Lost shipment claims have always been a painful experience in Indian eCommerce. These claims are never given by logistics partners by themselves unless you initiate a claim. The process in itself is tedious and has to be reported within a limited standard timeline.
Because of this, several businesses don’t report the claim -unknowingly leaving money on the table. And the few who do report it are often left with no fixed timelines, unclear resolutions, and countless follow-ups, sometimes stretching as long as 4–5 months, and at times no claims are given.
At vFulfill, we stand for truly hassle-free eCommerce. Lost shipment claims shouldn’t be your burden - we take that weight off your shoulders.
That’s why we’ve introduced Automated Lost Shipment Claims — a first-of-its-kind system in Indian eCommerce ecosystem.
It’s hassle-free. It’s automated. It doesn’t require you to look into it — hence saving you time and effort. This policy outlines how lost claims are handled and credited to your vFulfill wallet.
📦 What qualifies as a Lost Shipment?
A shipment is considered ‘Lost’ when the courier partner is unable to trace its physical location and marks it as Lost in their tracking system.
This means if a shipment goes missing or gets damaged at any stage of its journey — forward, return, or reverse pickup — and the courier partner marks it as lost on their tracking system, we’ll treat it as a Lost Shipment and automatically credit the eligible claim to your vFulfill Wallet.
No follow-ups. No waiting. Just a seamless claim experience.
💰 How much claim will I receive?
Sr. No. | Scenario | Claim Amount |
1. | Lost in Forward Journey | 100% of invoice value (capped to a maximum of ₹2,000) |
2. | Lost in Return Journey (RTO) | 60% of invoice value (capped to a maximum of ₹2,000) |
3. | Lost in Reverse Pickup Journey | 60% of invoice value (capped to a maximum of ₹2,000) |
This amount is credited directly to your vFulfill Wallet. You'll also see it clearly labeled with the transaction head: 'Lost Claim' — so it's easy to track and reconcile anytime.
⏱️ When will the claim be processed?
We process claims on a fixed schedule so you always know exactly when to expect your claim credits:
Shipments marked lost between 1st–31st of any month → Their claim will be credited by 30th/31st of the next month.
No guesswork. No delays. Just reliable, timely credits.
📅 Example:
Let’s say any shipment was marked as Lost on the tracking page on 17th July 2025. The claim for this shipment will be credited by vFulfill in the following month on 31st August 2025.
🤝 Why This Matters?
We’ve removed the uncertainty, follow-ups, and long waits that sellers have been forced to accept for years. This is not just a policy - it’s a new standard.
This is our way of saying: your business deserves a support system that values your time and protects your bottom line.
With vFulfill:
Your lost shipments are tracked.
Your claims are processed automatically.
Your time is respected.
Lost shipments aren’t your fight anymore. They’re just… resolved.
