🧮 Real-Life Examples of Lost Shipment Claims

We’ve put together some real examples of lost shipment claims - across different journey types - so you know exactly what to expect and how the credit reflects in your vFulfill Wallet.

🧭 Example 1: Lost Shipment in Forward Journey

Scenario: Ravi shipped a COD order on 15th April 2025 with vFulfill worth ₹1,499. Here’s the complete flow of what happened:

Shipment never reached his customer. Courier marked it as Lost after failed delivery attempts on 4th June 2025.

Order was auto-identified as a Lost Shipment.

Claim Processed

₹1,499 credited to Ravi’s vFulfill Wallet.

100% of order value (as it’s under ₹2,000 cap).

Lost Claim

1.The shipment got marked as Lost on 4th June 2025 in the courier partner’s tracking system (as shown in the image below).



2. Once this status was updated, a corresponding Lost Claim transaction was automatically created in his vFulfill Wallet, which initially appears in a Pending state (see image below).



3. The lost claim was processed and credited to his wallet on 31st July 2025 — the last day of next month.

✅ Note: For forward journey losses, the credit is 100% of the order value subject to a maximum cap of ₹2,000.

Since ₹1,499 is under the cap, Ravi received the full amount.

🧭 Example 2: Lost Shipment in RTO Journey

Scenario: Ravi shipped a COD order on 1st May 2025 with vFulfill worth ₹3,499. Here’s the complete flow of what happened:

2. Once this status was updated, a corresponding Lost Claim transaction was automatically created in his vFulfill Wallet, which initially appears in a Pending state (see image below).

3.The lost claim was processed and credited to his wallet on 31st August 2025 — the last day of next month.

✅ Note: For shipments lost in the return (RTO) journey, the credit is 60% of the order value, subject to a cap of ₹2,000.

60% of ₹3,499 is ₹2,099.40 – but since the cap is ₹2,000, that's the amount credited.

🧭 Example 3: Lost Shipment in RVP Journey

Scenario: Ravi shipped a COD order on 2nd May 2025 with vFulfill worth ₹2,499. Here’s the complete flow of what happened:

1. The shipment was marked as Lost on 21st July 2025 in the courier partner’s tracking system (as shown in the image below)


2. Once this status was updated, a corresponding Lost Claim transaction was automatically created in his vFulfill Wallet, which initially appears in a Pending state (see image below).


3.The lost claim was processed and credited to his wallet on 31st August 2025 — the last day of next month.

✅ Note: For RVP losses, the credit is 60% of the order value, subject to a ₹2,000 cap.

60% of ₹2,499 = ₹1,499.40, so that's what was credited.
